St. Peter’s Church dates from 1817 and was one of the Waterloo churches built to commemorate the famous victory two years earlier. It was erected on the main Chester to Manchester road some distance from any other building in what was then part of the forest.

Oakmere Methodist Church (which is in Delamere!) was built in 1913. Two former non-conformist chapels, Delamere Chapel on Willington Road and Willington Chapel on Chapel Lane, Willington, are now private dwellings.
