Delamere Forest plans APPEAL UPHELD

The Planning Inspector has now examined the Forestry Commission’s appeal against Cheshire West and Chester Council’s refusal of its proposal to build holiday chalets in Kingswood and a new visitor centre at Linmere, and has decided that planning permission should be granted.

The Inspector’s decision can only be challenged through the High Court.

The development has to begin no later than 3 years from the date of the Inspector’s decision (26 February 2018).  The visitor centre and associated infrastructure must be delivered within a period of 5 years from the date on which the first holiday cabin is brought into use for visitor occupation.
